Mohammad Hossein Amin Al-Zarb (son of Mohammad Hasan Isfahani) nicknamed Amin Al-Zarb, was a businessman, entrepreneur and the first Iranian investor during the era of Muzaffar al-Din Shah Qajar.
He bought the first electricity generating device from Russia and in this way electricity entered Iran and replaced gas.
For this reason, Mohammad Hossein Amin al-Zarb was given the title of “Father of Iran’s Electricity”.
A decade before the creation of the Shahshahi Bank, Amin Al-Zarb proposed to Naseruddin Shah that the National Bank be established by the government and the people of Iran and emphasized that the small capital collected in the bank will play an important role in the formation of economic activities. did

Throughout his life, he was able to play an important role in the development of the country due to the many positions he held.
Among the positions of Amin al-Zarb, the following can be mentioned:

Amin al-Zarb Cultural Festival is recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance as one of the prestigious cultural and press festivals.
Amin Al-Zarb Festival is held annually with the participation of economic activists and the Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture of Iran as the spokesperson of the private sector.
This festival is an opportunity to get to know famous figures in the field of entrepreneurship.
In the last two decades, digital entrepreneurs and start-ups were present at the festival, which can indicate the growing importance of digital entrepreneurship in Iran’s economy today.

The first Amin Al-Zarb Festival was held in 2015 (the 133rd anniversary of the Tehran Chamber) and the first Amin Al-Zarb Medal was awarded by the Chamber of Commerce to prominent entrepreneurs of the country.
This badge is awarded to these people in order to honor the entrepreneurs and veterans of the private sector.
How are the winners selected?
The jury of this festival consists of the following people:
- Two researchers in the field of entrepreneurship
- An economist
- a veteran
- A well-known economic journalist and editor of the media
- Four famous figures representing the four fields of industry, mining, commerce and agriculture
After holding numerous meetings and reviewing resumes, commenting and criticizing various issues, this jury finally selected 30 final candidates for voting.
According to the composition of the jury, if this statue is protected, it can become a national emblem, whose position is higher than the state emblems.

The statue of Amin al-Zarb consists of four wings, which are inspired by the wings of birds, and in fact, it symbolizes the four main parts of the room, i.e. industry, mining, commerce and agriculture.
On each of the wings of this statue, a turquoise stone is used, which is a sign of the seal of friendship.
The fifth edition of Amin Al-Zarb Festival was held in Iran’s Unity Hall in March 2019 by the Tehran Chamber of Commerce and the winners received their awards.
Some experts believe that in order to take a step towards sustainability and increase the value of this award, it is necessary for the Chamber of Commerce of Iran (the founder of this award in the country) to clarify the selection process of the winners and the judging of this award.
In other words, this sign should be removed from the symbolic and decorative state and used as a tool to provide a platform for other works.
