In general, the organization's activities fall into three categories, activities that add value and create value for the customer, activities that are needed for the organization and actually create value for the organization, and finally activities that have no value for the organization. Customers and organizations do not create.

It is interesting to know that these types of activities often make up 80% of the total activities of an organization, which causes the price to increase, production speed to decrease, and customer dissatisfaction.

One of the main concepts in lean production and system is just-in-time production, so that the right amount of goods or services reach the right customer at the right time. Such thinking requires that the amount of losses that include: Inventory, excess production, breakdowns, waste, excess movements in production, transportation and improper use of human power should be minimized.

The highest added value and the lowest cost

Imagine you have a system where the cost of transportation is minimized, you don't pay any maintenance fees, and you can pick it up whenever the customer has a demand.

On the other hand, consider the same system that out of a million productions, only 3 or 4 of its outputs are inconsistent with the customer's demands.

Such an ideal system is not far from the mind and the way to achieve it is to choose the path of pure six sigma.
